What prepare before riding?

The performance of bicycles is very important. Before departure, you should conduct a comprehensive and thorough inspection of all parts of the bicycle, and carry with you common repair tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, air cylinders, wrenches, pliers, etc., as well as spare parts such as balls, inner tubes, brake pads, car strips, and valve cores. The bike should be carefully inspected at the end of each day and any problems found should be addressed in a timely manner. Generally speaking, the best angle is to have a low seat with a recline of five to ten degrees.

Caution when Riding

The amount of exercise should be arranged reasonably and at a certain speed.

Do not move too fast or too slow. Take a break every two  hours and don’t stop whenever you feel like it. When driving under special road conditions, it is particularly important to control the vehicle speed. Here’s the key point: Don’t habitually slow down when you encounter shallow rivers, puddles, or gravel. Fast driving will make it easier to pass smoothly.

When driving on muddy roads, you may wish to remove the front and rear fenders to prevent the mud from blocking the fenders and The gap between the wheels; when going downhill, both the front and rear brakes must be pressed. If you encounter roads with melted asphalt in the summer, be sure to avoid them. If you have no choice, go to a dirt road first and let the wheels get some loess to prevent them from getting stuck. When camping on the way, the campsite should be in a dry and leeward place with a water source nearby. It is a good idea to stay overnight in a village.

Wearing gears when riding

Cycling tours have strict requirements on clothing, especially pants. Light, thin and breathable clothing with low resistance and good ventilation is preferred. Sun hats and sunglasses, rain gear, bedding, common medicines, lighting equipment, transportation, topographic maps, etc. are all necessary items.

Nowadays, there are professional bicycle bags that are easy to use. Ordinary backpacks must be fastened securely. When camping, put things in a blind spot that can be covered by your body to prevent them from being lost.
