Detailed Explanation of Bicycle Production Process

1. Raw material procurement

The first step in bicycle production is raw material procurement. Generally speaking, the main raw materials of bicycles include steel pipes, aluminum alloys, carbon fiber, etc. Manufacturers need to estimate demand based on production plans and sign purchase contracts with suppliers to ensure the timely arrival of raw materials.

2. Frame manufacturing

The bicycle frame is one of its most important components. The manufacturing of the frame usually uses cold drawing to make steel tubes or aluminum alloy tubes into corresponding shapes. First, after the raw materials are initially processed, CNC machine tools and CNC punching machines are used to perform pipe cutting, drilling and other manufacturing processes to form a complete bicycle frame.

3. Spray painting treatment

After the frame is produced, it needs to be spray-painted to make the outer surface of the frame smooth and flat, while also protecting and beautifying it. The spray painting process includes primer spraying, intermediate paint spraying, and surface paint spraying. Different frames may require different colors and textures, so manufacturers need to strictly follow customer needs and product specifications during the painting process.

4. Assembly

The assembly of the bicycle is the last step and a major step that determines the quality of the product. Assembly includes the installation of front forks, rear forks, wheelsets, seats, transmissions, brake systems and other components. The entire assembly process requires calibration, refueling and assembly of various mechanical equipment. After assembly is completed, comprehensive inspection and quality acceptance are required to ensure that each bicycle is qualified before leaving the factory.

5. Packaging and leaving the factory

The produced bikes need to be packed and shipped. The external packaging must be excellent, and sufficient protection and attention must be given to packaging and transportation. Before leaving the factory, it also includes other steps such as labeling and certification procedures for the frame, ensuring that after multiple stages of production and quality inspection, each bicycle leaves the factory completely.
